What is the result when 126 architectural firms from around the world compete for the best concept for the Future Center in Halle? A diversity of surprising, bold, and innovative designs that did not make the jury’s decision in mid-May an easy one. Now the works are on public display for the first time.
From mid-June, the Saline Museum in Halle will exhibit not only the winning design by the Berlin team Richter Musikowski Architekten with ST raum a. Landschaftsarchitektur, but also the 23 other models from the second round of the competition and over 100 additional designs from the first phase. The anonymously submitted works offer a unique look behind the scenes of one of the most significant architectural competitions in recent years – and show how social change can be architecturally conceived and designed.
The exhibition runs until July 13, 2025 in the Großsiedehalle Süd of the Saline Museum (Wednesday to Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm).
For the opening on June 14, a Family Day under the motto “Hands-on Future” invites visitors from 10 am to 5 pm to the grounds of the Saline Museum. Admission is free.
